This role is a mix of work-from-home.
This is a FULL-TIME position, working side-by-side with Creative Label co-founder, Aisha Marshall (while also working closely with other key members of the team).

Graphic Design Skills and Proficiencies

- Master Skills in Adobe programs such as Photoshop, InDesign, etc
- Proficient in Canva
- Experience in creating graphics for different social media platforms
- Well rounded skill set including the following: Website Asset Design, Email Design, and Print Design
- Knowledge and skills in graphic and multimedia design and layout
- Ability to present ideas and solutions through effective communication
- A strong visual and creative eye in color, typography, and composition
- Ability to pay attention to details and be well organized
- Knowledge of the industry and new technologies
Front-End Development Skills and Proficiencies:
- Knowledge and skills in graphic and multimedia design and layout
- Strong understanding of WordPress, Shopify, and Squarespace platforms
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and time-sensitive deliverables
- Ability to read and write HTML, CSS + Liquid code, and working proficiency in PHP and JavaScript
- Have creativity and imagination
- Be adaptable and able to pick up new techniques
- Keep up to date with advances in computer technology and how this affects businesses
- Understanding of SEO and Google Analytics
- Solid technical background with an ability to address accessibility and compatibility issues
Duties and Responsibilities
- Design, create and manage promotions for social ad campaigns, be sure to integrate with the company’s overall marketing campaign strategy visually.
- Learn and understand client needs in order to develop designs in line with project goals and outcomes
- Flexible and innovative design thinking capable of creating multiple variations for a client’s branding
- Provide high quality deliverables in required formats (such as .png, .ai, .eps, .svg, etc.)
- Develop a consistent visual style in line with a client’s brand for use in printed branding materials and digital graphics such as letterheads, business cards, icons, podcast art, etc.
- Use your extensive graphic design skills to help design and develop client website initiatives, ensuring strong functionality and optimization, and best-in-class customer experience.
- Work with our other graphic designers to be jointly responsible for the design of web pages, including graphics, animation, and functionality. You’ll have a team to support you but you should be able to design most things yourself and bring sites and projects to completion.
- Present the website wireframe design/s to the client with a description of the idea meant to be communicated
- Present branding design/s to clients making sure to be able to explain design choices and how it communicates the client’s vision
- Make necessary changes in line with the client’s demand and the project objectives
- Follow up client feedback design draft edits or pivoting in a new direction
- Proofread and oversee quality control of the graphic work before they go for final printing
- Be able to complete the project successfully independently as well as work with other team members.
- Develop concepts to improve and implement responsive web design
- Ensure quality of web graphics for responsive web design
- Develop new user-facing features
- Build reusable code and libraries for future use
- Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
- Collaborate with other team members
- Deploy time-sensitive marketing campaigns across client websites
- Code and deploy email marketing campaigns
- Run reports and help to build presentation decks
- For this position, we expect the following:
(a)write the programming code, either from scratch or by adapting existing website software or template and graphics packages to meet business requirements
(b) test the website and identify any technical problems
(c) upload the site onto a server and register it with different search engines

- Proven work experience as a hybrid graphic designer and web developer.
