Instagram will be introducing a new “Pause all” option for users to be able to pause all notifications from the app for a given amount of time. You’ll now have the option to disconnect any IG notifications for anywhere from fifteen minutes to eight hours, opposed to manually turning off each specific notification type.
Think of this as a tool to get focused.
Think of this as a tool to get focused. Use it when you’re close to a deadline and you need an hour to zone out and get things done. Turn it on when you’re on your way to lunch with a friend. It’ll help keep you in the moment and present in the conversation. Remember, no one likes to be in conversation with someone who always has their nose stuck in their phone! Basically, Instagram is telling us that it’s okay to NOT multitask sometimes. Thanks for the reminder IG! We appreciate it!
With a number of people having careers in social media, it makes being disconnected from an app like Instagram very difficult. Most of those people would probably cringe at the thought of not getting their notifications. BUT, there are instances when sometimes you just have to unplug, live in the moment and simply unwind. Don’t forget to recharge when you need it, whether it’s for an hour or a weekend!
Go ahead and open your eyes and transition into Pada Bandha. Oh, you forgot we were at yoga? That’s because we paused your notifications for fifteen minutes. You’re welcome!
